Dear friends,

Since 2013, AquariumKids has been my project. But now, I want to open it up to content from other people as well.

The AquariumKids Community Blog (AquariumKids.org/blog) will be open to submissions from anyone looking to publish relevant, non-commercial content (with minimal oversight/editing) on AquariumKids.

Although there will be no financial compensation, blogging will be a wonderful way to get exposure if you are an aspiring journalist/writer or if you have any interest in aquaculture/hydroponics, fisheries management, marine biology, zoos and aquaria, fishkeeping, or any related industry or hobby.

I am still in the process of fleshing out what this will look like. If you are interested in writing for the AquariumKids Community Blog—or if you have any thoughts on it—please message me on Facebook or AquariumKids on Facebook.

I am looking forward to working with everyone on this and seeing what the community wants to share!

Best,

Evan Baldonado

Additional notes:

  • Currently, I am using Jekyll to enable the easy scaling of this blog. As a result, I still need to migrate over other features of the main AquariumKids website, including commenting, analytics, and more. I will also be updating the styling of the blog to better match the rest of the website shortly.
