Petsmart Top Fin Plastic Heaters Recall

Petsmart Top Fin Plastic Heater
112,000 Top Fin Plastic Heaters have been recalled (50, 100, 150, 200, and 250-watt heaters with model numbers: HT50, HT100, HT150, HT200 and HT250). The heaters sold between August 2014 and April 2015 are affected, while other models are still safe to use.

According to CPSC.gov, "An electrical problem with the aquarium heaters, poses a risk of fire or electrical shock to the consumer." To date, there have been 13 reported incidents involving these heaters and consumers are advised to discontinue their use and return them to Petsmart for a refund.
